Dr Agron Hoxha
Dr Agron Hoxha is the Biomaterials Chemist at Biohm. He is a multi-award-winning researcher with a vision for innovation in the biomaterial sciences and holds a PhD in Biomaterials Engineering from Queen Mary University of London, where he developed novel technologies in oral health and wound healing. He has spoken at many international biomaterials conferences and is the lead author of numerous papers, including ‘Novel fluoride rechargeable dental composites containing MgAl and CaAl layered double hydroxide (LDH)’.
Agron's work harnesses nature’s wisdom to create innovative materials that echo the vibrancy and resilience of the earth itself. His expertise, honed by a blend of academic rigor and industrial R&D, bears witness to his unwavering pursuit of knowledge. Agron's ambition, mirrored by his intellectual curiosity and dedication to sustainability, fosters methodologies that are not just scientific but also strategic. In addition to driving biomaterial chemical research to develop groundbreaking technologies and IP, he develops biomimetic solutions to take biotechnologies from the lab to large scale production, fostering widespread impact of innovative technological implementation.
Agron's work is a symphony of careful synthesis, the flow of which resonates in the heart of Biohm's innovation. He is an interlocutor for nature's riddles, translating them into ground-breaking technologies by carefully honing nature’s gifts to develop new materials. To Agron, nature and science are not two separate entities, they rather constitute each other.
If Agron was to inhabit earth as a non-human, he would be deliberate, determined, and clear-sighted eagle. Like an eagle he would soar the skies with a dexterity and ease forged over millions of years of evolution. As a human, Agron finds joy in being with his family and friends, travelling, reading, and the discipline awarded by sport. He is also a maker and can often be found working on a physical project.
