CORE DRIVERS
Biohm exists to systemically and holistically address the CORE DRIVERS of humanity’s maladaptation to the earth system.
Aware of the significance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we strive to align our core drivers and business practices with them to the furthest extent.
CULTURAL NORMS + HUMAN LOGIC
Biohm believes that the source of humanity’s maladaptation lies within our cultural norms and our approach to thinking and problem-solving. Therefore, Biohm sheds light on nature’s genius and the learnings of 14 billion years of evolution to drive public education through radical thought leadership.
GREENHOUSE GAS (GHG) EMISSIONS
Biohm’s biotechnologies do not rely on nor promote the burning of fossil fuels. Instead, they provide alternatives to fossil-fuel derived products, which directly contribute to the sequestration, neutralisation, and elimination of GHGs and elements that contribute to GHG emissions.
RESOURCE DEPLETION
All of Biohm’s biotechnologies intentionally avoid the extraction of natural non-renewable resources as well as work towards regenerating and replenishing them. By developing regenerative high-performance systems, products and solutions, Biohm helps in minimising industries’ extraction of natural capital.
AGRICULTURAL + FOOD SYSTEMS
By utilising ‘waste streams', Biohm’s biotechnologies avoid the use of renewable and non-renewable virgin resources, especially those embedded in food systems, to prevent further growth of monoculture, fertilisers, pesticides, and agricultural land use.
'WASTE' CRISIS
'Waste' is the core resource used as feedstock for all of Biohm’s biotechnologies, covering a wide range, including food, agricultural, construction, fashion, and plastic 'waste streams'. Driving the circular economy, these biotechnologies are able to operate within closed-loop zero-waste systems.
SOCIO - ECONOMIC INEQUITY
As well as ensuring a regenerative impact on human health through all of Biohm’s innovations, once scaled, each biotechnology becomes a source of social and economic regeneration through profit-share investments into local communities as well as through equitable job creation through partnerships with our licensees.
